Prices

This page shows the current prices of the Corona Dental dental clinic. We have been operating in Barcelona since 2009 and are located in the Esquerra de l'Eixample district, just a two-minute walk from Rocafort metro station. The clinic has eight doctors specialising in thirteen areas of dentistry — from professional hygiene and caries treatment to implantology, prosthetics and paediatric dentistry.

Below are the costs for the initial consultation and diagnostics, therapeutic treatment and professional hygiene, tooth extractions, implantology, aesthetic dentistry and orthodontics. We also describe how the first visit works, what is included in the «turnkey» price and why the figures are given with a «from» prefix.

The prices on the page are indicative: they give an idea of the cost range before your visit. The exact price is given by the doctor after the examination and X-ray, and is set out in writing in the estimate you sign before treatment begins.

Dental services in Spain are not subject to VAT, so nothing is added to the estimate at the checkout. The clinic does not work with insurance companies and does not offer instalment plans — treatment is paid for directly, in cash or by bank card.

How the first visit works

The initial consultation lasts between 30 and 60 minutes and costs €50.

Stage What we do
Examination Three doctors assess you: a therapist, a surgeon and an orthodontist
X-ray 2D or CT scan in our X-ray department, results ready in 5 minutes
Photo protocol We record the initial condition of your teeth to track treatment progress
Plan We draw up a phased financial treatment plan

Why three doctors assess you

In most clinics, you are seen by one specialist, and if it turns out during treatment that prosthetics require orthodontic preparation or extractions, the plan has to be rewritten and you have to come back for additional consultations. At our clinic, all three aspects are evaluated at once.

Why we use a photo protocol

It is not for advertising. Six months into treatment, neither the doctor nor the patient remembers the initial condition in detail, while images allow an objective comparison of the «before» and «after» results.

The consultation and diagnostics are paid separately and are not included in the cost of subsequent treatment.

What to bring with you

  • identification document — passport, NIE or DNI;
  • X-rays from another clinic, taken no more than 3 months before the appointment — preferably in DICOM format;
  • a list of medications you are taking, especially anticoagulants and bisphosphonates.

Diagnostics

Service Price
Initial consultation €50
CT scan €80–150

What is included in the CT: the procedure, the doctor's work, image processing and the first digital copy. Additional copies are paid for separately.

CT is not required for everyone — only before implant placement, removal of a complex tooth or orthodontic planning. In most cases, a 2D X-ray (already included in the consultation) is sufficient for the first visit.

Treatment and prevention

Service Price
Professional hygiene: EMS AirFlow + ultrasound from €100
Caries treatment, light-curing filling from €90
Root canal treatment from €190
Wisdom tooth extraction from €120
Preventive check-up with X-ray control €50

A preventive check-up every six months is not just a formality — it affects the validity of the guarantee on fitted prosthetics.

Implantology

System «Turnkey» price
Odontit from €1,200
Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Sweden & Martina up to €1,800

What «turnkey» means

It includes the implant, abutment and crown — that is, a complete tooth, not just the titanium screw. This is important to clarify when comparing clinics: adverts often quote the price of a single implant, while the crown and abutment are added later, doubling the total.

Why the €600 difference

It is not just about the price of titanium. Premium systems come with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty on the implant and have years of osseointegration statistics; budget systems have different warranty terms. The doctor explains the differences at the consultation — the choice is yours, and we do not push the premium option unless the clinical situation requires it.

If bone volume is insufficient, a bone graft or sinus lift will be needed before implant placement — this is a separate stage calculated individually for each clinical case.

Aesthetic dentistry and orthodontics

Service Price
Philips Zoom 4 whitening, 1 session, 6–8 shades €590
Ceramic crowns and veneers E-max from €600 per unit
Spark / Straumann aligners — full course from €3,000
Bracket system — full course from €2,500

Veneers are priced per unit, but in practice they are rarely fitted individually — usually the entire smile zone is treated, and the total depends on the number of teeth in the plan.

The full aligner course includes planning, manufacturing all aligners and follow-up until the end of treatment, two retainers and one EMS AirFlow professional hygiene session. There are no additional charges for each new set.

The full bracket course includes planning and fitting brackets on both jaws, two retainers and one EMS AirFlow professional hygiene session before and after treatment.

How payment works

Final price

Dental services in Spain are not subject to VAT — nothing is added to the estimate at the checkout.

We do not work with insurance companies

Treatment is paid for directly. In Spain, dentistry is almost always excluded from health insurance coverage: it usually covers emergency care and extractions, while everything else is paid for in any clinic. We do not offer instalment plans — payment is by cash or bank card.

Payment for completed stages

Complex treatment is paid for in stages: the patient does not pay the entire amount upfront, but pays as each stage is completed. This allows you to manage your time and budget more flexibly.

Presupuesto — the financial treatment plan

After the examination, you receive a written treatment plan with the stages and costs of each service, and you sign it before work begins. The price does not change after that — unless a new clinical situation arises during treatment, in which case the plan is reviewed with you before proceeding.

The financial plan is valid for one year from the date of issue. After this period, the clinical case requires a reassessment of the diagnostics and costs.

Why prices are given with a «from»

The cost is affected by specific factors, and we name them directly rather than hiding behind «depends on complexity»:

  • the depth of the lesion — superficial caries and pulpitis requiring root canal treatment differ greatly in cost;
  • the number of canals in the tooth for endodontic treatment;
  • the number of tooth surfaces involved in the restoration;
  • the material of the restoration — zirconia and E-max have different prices and lifespans;
  • the condition of the gums — in active periodontitis, prosthetics cannot begin until the tissue is treated;
  • the available bone volume — a lack of bone adds a bone graft stage before implant placement;
  • the number of teeth in the plan — in aesthetics and orthodontics, the whole zone is considered, not just individual units.

This is why the estimate is prepared after the examination and X-ray, not over the phone. A price quoted blindly is almost always lower than the actual cost, and the difference only becomes apparent when you are in the chair.

Payment FAQs

Is the consultation included in the treatment cost?

No. The consultation costs €50 and is paid separately.

Can I get a price over the phone?

An indicative price, yes — based on this price list. An exact price, no: it depends on what is seen during the examination and on the X-ray. A low estimate over the phone often leads to an unpleasant surprise in the chair.

When is the final price fixed?

After the examination. You receive the estimate and sign it before treatment begins. The plan is valid for one year from the date of issue.

What if more work is needed during treatment?

The doctor stops and explains what has changed. Additional stages are not performed without your consent and do not appear on the bill retrospectively.

How long does the first appointment take?

Between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of the case.

Is a CT scan mandatory at the first visit?

No. In most cases, a 2D X-ray (already included in the consultation) is sufficient.

Can I be treated without a NIE?

Yes, for a private clinic a passport is sufficient.

Are there any discounts?

We do not run permanent promotions. Savings are possible by choosing a different implant system or material — the doctor discusses the options at the consultation.

All clinic services have contraindications; specialist consultation is required. The prices on this page are indicative and do not constitute a public offer.
