How to brush your teeth properly

In order to start brushing your teeth, you need two things: a toothbrush and toothpaste.

About the toothbrush

Toothbrushes can be natural and artificial in composition. The natural brush has pig bristles and a wooden handle. Artificial - polyamide thread and plastic handle.

In terms of hardness, natural brushes are all rigid. Artificial ones can be hard, medium-hard and soft. Natural brushes are inconvenient to store. The bristles are difficult to wash and as a result, bacteria remain on them. But natural bristles clean perfectly, as the paste holds better between the structure of the hair.
The artificial brush is made of a less porous material and is therefore easy to handle.

It is also possible to choose a brush by hardness. It is necessary to start with a soft one and, if there is no bleeding, then you can take a harder one. Over time, it is necessary to use a hard brush, as a soft one does not remove plaque well. We recommend silver-coated brushes to our patients, as silver ions kill unwashed microbes and there is no re-infection when reused.

About pastes

Pastes are divided into natural and fake ones. Natural pasta is an expensive pleasure and it is better to entrust its selection to a specialist.
Real pastes can be therapeutic and preventive.
The medicinal paste uses a component that treats gums or teeth.

The therapeutic paste should be prepared individually for each patient, and the doctor should monitor the effectiveness of the medicine used. If the medicine is used for more than a month, then the bacteria develop protection and further use is useless. The doctor also determines the frequency of brushing and the time of brushing
The doctor should explain how to brush your teeth properly. How many times a day and how much time should be given to each tooth.

Preventive pastes are pastes that should remove plaque from teeth. This is the simplest technology and everyone should know it. There is no individual approach, unlike medicinal pastes. A paste is taken and applied to a 1 cm long bristle. Then we distribute the paste evenly over all the teeth and clean each tooth in a circular motion from the gum for up to 5 seconds. That is, we count to 5 and move on to the next one. Prolonged mechanical action is unacceptable, since in the presence of an abrasive, your enamel becomes thinner. Electric brushes are very dangerous in the sense that the abrasive can erase your enamel.
The brush is unsuitable for cleaning if the bristles are fluffed up like a broom. Such a brush does not clean, but only injures the gum.

The interaction of saliva and artificial materials used in dentistry
It is no secret that the dentist's intervention does not always benefit health, even if the dentist has a good reputation and extensive experience. In dentistry, various materials and substances are used in prosthetics, teeth whitening, bite correction and other types of dental treatment, which can and often do harm to health.
